Ever since Kirby Smart became Georgia's head coach the Bulldogs have been one of the best programs in the country on the recruiting trail. They have signed the No. 1 class in the country and the No. 2 class multiple times, and it's that elite recruiting that has allowed Georgia to be so good for so long.
Georgia is already off to a hot start in the 2027 recruiting class as well. In fact, they are part of an exclusive club of seven teams that have a five-star recruit already committed to their class.

Georgia joins 6 other schools as the only programs with a five-star commit
In order for Georgia to remain at the top of the college football world they need to continue to recruit at a high level. Thankfully they are already accomplishing that with the 2027 recruiting class.
Running back Kemon Spell is the five-star commit highlighting Georgia's class right now. He is the No. 1 running back in the country and a top 10 overall player, so his addition to the program is as good as it gets.
Georgia however also has a second five-star committed to their class in defensive back Donte Wright. He was one of the first players to commit to Georgia's 2027 class, but unfortunately he is starting to show signs of potentially flipping to another school. But for now Georgia has two five-stars already committed to their 2027 recruiting class.
The above post is only about the 2027 class, but it's impossible to not also mention five-star quarterback Jayden Wade who is already committed to Georgia's 2028 recruiting class as well.
There are still many months until the 2027 recruiting class wraps up, so Smart and his staff need to do everything they can to hold onto these commitments. That won't be easy, especially with Wright, but the good news is that they also have time to add even more five-star recruits to their class as well.
