Georgia baseball and softball got their seasons underway this weekend. Both teams have high expectations this season and Georgia fans are excited to cheer them on just like they do every other year.
But something happened during the softball team's first game that led fans to feel a little disappointed with Georgia's football team.

Opening Day gave Georgia fans an unfortunate reminder about UGA football
Georgia is home to some of the most iconic uniforms in all of college football. They don't have any uniforms that are too flashy, but their uniforms are classics that never get old. But even if their standard home and away uniforms are so great, it doesn't hurt to spice things up from time to time. And the one thing Georgia fans want to see the most is an all black uniform.
Georgia typically has a blackout game every year in Sanford Stadium. Whenever that game occurs fans are hoping that the football team matches the vibe and wears an all black uniform too. Unfortunately fans are left upset at the fact that it never happens.
So when Georgia's softball team took the field for the first time this year in an all black uniform it left fans really upset that the football team doesn't do that.
Maybe this fall will be the year that the football squad finally takes the field in Sanford Stadium in an all black uniform. At this point Kirby Smart has to have heard how upset Georgia fans are about this, so it's time that he answers the call and gives the fans what they want.
At the end of the day the only thing that fans really care about is winning, and as long as that keeps happening no one will actually get too upset over the uniforms Georgia choses to wear. But at some point Georgia needs to do the right thing and wear an all black uniform.
