Georgia will get to take on Ole Miss in the College Football Playoff quarterfinals in a rematch from earlier this season. About two months ago Georgia battled Ole Miss in Athens and the Bulldogs emerged with a 43-35 victory.

But just because Georgia won the first meeting doesn't guarantee they will win the second. Just ask Alabama who lost to UGA in the SEC Championship game after beating them in Athens at the beginning of the season.

Beating a good team twice in one season is hard to do, everyone knows that. But the Bulldogs have to face the unique challenge of playing against the same team for the second time in a row which is something that they have never had to do under Kirby Smart.

Georgia must overcome the significant off the field challenge Ole Miss presents

Georgia has found a lot of success in rematches during Smart's tenure. In fact, they are a perfect 4-0 in rematches since he's been Georgia's head coach. But the Bulldogs have never had two rematches in the same season under Smart, but that is what they face this season.

Georgia faced Alabama for the second time this season in the SEC Championship game. The Crimson Tide won the first meeting so this gave Georgia a lot of extra motivation to prove that they can beat Alabama and are the better team. This time however it is Ole Miss who has this added motivation of playing a team they already lost to.

On top of that, Ole Miss also is motivated to show Lane Kiffin that he made a mistake leaving them right before their playoff run.

Only time will tell how Georgia will handle playing a team for the second time for the second game in a row, but Vegas believes they are the better team and everyone should still expect them to win.
