The first official injury report for Georgia football's upcoming game against Alabama was released Wednesday night, and the Bulldogs had just four players listed. That is a very low number at this point in the season, and looking at those four Bulldogs there is only one player that is worth mentioning.

The three players ruled out for Georgia have been out for a few weeks now, so their status was expected. However, starting right tackle Earnest Greene is marked as doubtful entering Saturday's game.

Georgia starting right tackle unlikely to play vs Alabama

Greene has unfortunately been working through an injury all season long. He suffered his initial injury in Georgia's season opener which kept him sidelined for the rest of that game. Greene also missed Georgia's week two game against Austin Peay as well.

This is where the good news for Greene began as he was able to start two weeks ago at Tennessee, but his injury unfortunately crept up on him during this game which forced him to be sidelined towards the end of the game. However, the hope for Greene was that Georgia's bye week would give him a chance to get healthy before this weekend, but that unfortunately did not happen.

Georgia fans shouldn't panic if Greene does not play because backup Michael Uini came in and played extremely well against the Volunteers. So the Bulldogs do have the depth needed to not suffer a setback as a team because of this injury.

It is worth pointing out from Alabama's injury report that the Crimson Tide's No. 1 running back Jam Miller is not listed and will be making his season debut on Saturday. All-American defensive lineman Tim Keenan is probable to play as well which would mark his season debut as well.

Georgia and Alabama's showdown is scheduled for 7:30 pm EST on Saturday, Sep. 27.
