Georgia football welcomed one of the most talented freshman classes in the country to campus this offseason, and the hype surrounding this group is very real. Fall camp has been their best shot to show why they deserve early playing time in their college careers, and a few of these Bulldogs have more than proven they deserve a shot this season.
Two true freshman however have stood above the rest so far in defensive lineman Elijah Griffin and offensive lineman Juan Gaston. In fact, On3 just named these two to their true freshman All-America team.

Georgia’s trenches are set for the future
Football games typically are won and lost in the trenches. If Georgia can dominate both with their offensive and defensive lines this season, they likely will find a lot of success.
Typically it isn’t true freshman that are making a huge impact on both lines of scrimmage, but Georgia this season will feature a true freshman lineman both on offense and defense. Gaston has come out of nowhere this fall and has even been receiving first team reps on offense. Griffin on the other hand was expected to make an impact this season as the No. 3 player in the 2025 class, and so far he has shown he will do just that this season.
While having both of these players contribute as true freshman is huge for this upcoming season alone, it’s impossible to not think about how dominant they will be in the years to come. Just imagine how elite both Griffin and Gaston will be in 2027 when they are entering their third seasons in Athens. By that point they will be an unstoppable force that Georgia will be able to rely on every single game.
Their journey to get to that point begins in less than two weeks when they make their college debuts against Marshall on Aug. 30. And if the intel out of fall camp is accurate, these two will be one of the top players on Georgia this season and some of the best true freshman in the entire country.
