Georgia football once again signed one of the top recruiting classes in the country. Many of those incoming freshmen have a shot to make a real impact during their careers at Georgia, but Ekene Ogboko might be at the top of that list.
Ogboko is an offensive tackle that committed to Georgia last June. After committing he was never a player that showed interest in any other schools, and he made his commitment official by signing with Georgia in December.
Fast forward to Tuesday when Rivals released their final class rankings for the 2026 recruiting class, and Ogboko found himself as the No. 9 overall player in the country.

5-star Georgia commit could be the next great Bulldog offensive lineman
Ogboko wasn't always a five-star recruit, but throughout his recruitment he showed how great of a player he is and ascended up the recruiting rankngs. His ascent has taken him all the way to No. 9 in the country which is nothing short of spectacular.
But one of the hardest things to do in college football is starting on the offensive line as a true freshman. That is especially the case in the SEC which is home to the best athletes in the country. But Ogboko has a real chance to earn a starting spot as soon as this fall.
Georgia showed this past season that they are capable of getting a true freshman ready to play by week one on their offensive line. Juan Gaston was a five-star lineman in the 2025 recruiting class, and he started on Georgia's offensive line in the first game of his career.
He went on to have a very successful season, so the blueprint that Ogboko hopes to follow is very clear.
It will be interesting to see if Ogboko does play a lot this fall or not, but the future of Georgia's offensive line is very bright thanks to his addition this year.
