Georgia football is still looking for their quarterback in the 2026 recruiting class. One name that every UGA fan knows is Jared Curtis, who is the top ranked quarterback in the country, but Georgia is after many other QBs as well who are extremely talented.

One of those quarterbacks just announced which schools he is focusing on in his recruitment and who he plans to take future visits to. Much of this info is restricted to subscribers of On3, but there is some public info out there regarding this recruitment that is great news for Kirby Smart and Georgia.

4-star QB Landon Duckworth

Landon Duckworth is a four-star QB from Jackson, AL. According to 247Sports, Duckworth is the No. 5 quarterback in the 2026 recruiting class and the No. 4 player from his home state of Alabama. He also is the No. 66 overall player in the country as well.

Duckworth has been one of Georgia's few quarterbacks they have targeted so far this recruiting cycle, so hearing that they are one of his top schools according to the above social media post is a great sign. On top of that, UGA is one of the four schools expected to host him on an official visit later this summer as well.

Chad Simmons with On3 shared a lot of updates about Duckworth's recruitment here, but Ole Miss, Florida State, South Carolina, Auburn and Missori are Georgia's competition in this recruitment right now.

Both 247Sports and On3 interestingly have South Carolina and UCF as the leaders in this recruitment, but based on this report from Simmons that is clearly not the case. So it will be interesting to see who emerges as the front runner after Duckworth likely takes a few visits this spring and some official visits later this summer.
