Georgia football continues their pursuit of a lot of elite prospects in the 2026 recruiting class as they look to add to the No. 12 class in the country. Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs only have five commits in the class so far, so there is clearly a lot of work that still needs to be done.
Thankfully there is an impressive recruit who has announced an upcoming commitment date, and Georgia appears to stand a good chance with this recruit.

4-star CB Jorden Edmonds
Jorden Edmonds is a four-star corner from Marietta, GA. According to 247Sports, Edmonds is the No. 53 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 5 corner in the 2026 class as well as the No. 4 player from the state of Georgia as well.
According to Chad Simmons with On3, Edmonds will be announcing his commitment very soon on Feb. 19. This coincides with Edmonds' birthday, so that will clearly be a very special day for him and his family. Edmonds also shared that he will be deciding between five solid programs when he commits on the 19th, which includes Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Oklahoma and Tennessee.
No offiial predictions have been made in Edmonds' recruitment yet, but Georgia fans should have some confidence as his commitment date approaches. On3 does name Alabama as the leader as they give the Tide a 48.9 percent chance to win. Georgia on the other hand isn't too far behind sitting with a 32.3 percent chance to win this battle.
These On3 projections are not always the most accurate thing in the world, so it is likely that Georgia could be the team to beat still. Edmonds is from Georgia and recently attended Junior Day in Athens in mid-January, so those are two great signs for Smart and his staff in this recruitment.
It likely is just a matter of time until predictions are made in this recruitment from recruiting experts, so Georgia fans will soon find out how good of a chance they have. So stay tuned as Georgia fans finally have a recruitment that will be coming to an end that they can pay close attention to.
