At this point it seems like Georgia football is receiving great news from just about every recruit in the country. Well, at least the recruits that Kirby Smart cares about and is recruiting.
February is the time in the year when recruits begin to narrow down which programs they can see themselves playing at during their college careers. That means the best recruits from all over the country will start announcing who their top choices are right now. And when it comes to the highest ranked recruits, Georgia typically finds themseleves making the cut with that player.
And that is exactly what happened on Thursday with the No. 1 ATH in the country.

5-star ATH Brandon Arrington
Brandon Arrington is a five-star ATH from La Mesa, CA. According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Arrington is the No. 8 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 2 player from his home state of California and the top ranked ATH in the 2026 class.
Arrington released the top 12 schools in his recruitment, and Georgia made the cut according to Hayes Fawcett with On3. Florida State, USC, Michigan, Alabama, Penn State, Texas A&M, UCLA, LSU, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Oregon also made the cut along with the Bulldogs.
No official predictions have been made in Arrington's recruitment yet, but On3 has one team heavily favored. And according to On3, Texas A&M currently has a 92.1 percent chance to win this recruitment.
The birght side for Georgia is that their is still plenty of time in this recruitment for Smart and his staff to make up some ground. And making up some ground at this point in the year would mean bringing Arrington on a visit to Athens as soon as possible. That unfortunately won't be able to happen until March as the college football world is in the middle of a recruiting dead period, but hopefully Georgia will be able to improve their standing with Arrington the second the dead period ends.
