Georgia receives no love from AP Poll despite 4-game win streak

Georgia basketball has become one of the hottest teams in college basketball, but the AP Poll voters are still not giving the Bulldogs any love.

Georgia is one of the hottest teams in the country as they enter postseason play later this week. No, this isn't about the football team, this is about the Georgia basketball team and the impressive run they are on.

Mike White and the Bulldogs knocked off Vanderbilt in their regular season finale on Saturday which extended their win streak to four. This win also erases pretty much any doubt that Georgia will miss the NCAA Tournament. So if everything goes as expected, the Bulldogs will be dancing for the first time in March Madness since 2015.

But not everyone is buying into the end of season hype for the Bulldogs.

The final AP Poll of the college basketball regular season was just released and Georgia not only didn't crack the top 25, they didn't even receive one vote to be included.

Where is the love for Georgia?

To be fair, the AP Poll got it right by excluding Georgia from the top 25. Even after the Bulldogs four wins in the last two weeks, they still sit at 20-11 on the season which doesn't deserve a spot in the top 25.

But to not get even one vote to be included is very surprising.

Not many teams boast a longer win streak than four right now, and the Bulldogs did it in the toughest conference in the country. On top of that, Georgia took down the Florida Gators to get this win streak started, and Florida is the AP Poll's No. 4 team right now. Georgia also has wins against No. 15 Kentcky and No. 6 St. John's this season as well, so it isn't like they have only beaten bad teams this year.

At the end of the day however, Georgia fans are just releived that they get to finally watch Georgia compete in the NCAA Tournament again. And by the way the Bulldogs have been playing, there is a very real chance they go on a run and win a few games.
