Now that we are officially at the halfway point of the college football regular season, it is time to look back on who has had the most impact for Georgia so far this season.

The Georgia Bulldogs have played pretty well at the halfway point this season. Other than one tough loss to Alabama, the Bulldogs have remained perfect. While there are several players to thank for that continued success, five in particular deserve a lot of credit.

Here are the top five most impactful players for Georgia so far this season ranked.

5. RB Chauncey Bowens

This is a name not many fans would have expected to see on this list at the beginning of the season. Running back Chauncey Bowens has shined every chance he has touched the ball this season. Bowens shares the backfield with a loaded backfield including Nate Frazier, Cash Jones, Josh McCray, and Dwight Phillips Jr. Despite the competition, the redshirt freshman has led the group in rushing yards and carries. Bowens has become a force early, and don't expect him to let up any time soon.

4. WR Colbie Young

Though quiet in his first season in Athens last year, wide receiver Colbie Young has made the most of his opportunities in 2025 so far. Young currently leads the team in receiving yards and has become a prime target for Gunner Stockton. Young's big 6'4" frame makes the receiver a solid target for Stockton when under pressure. If Stockton can improve on trusting his receivers and making more contested throws downfield, Young could potentially have even better numbers than he already has.

3. LB CJ Allen

This name shouldn't be a shock to anyone on this list. A 2025 Preseason Watchlist player for the Butkus Award, linebacker CJ Allen was in talks to be the next Roquan Smith or Nakobe Dean at Georgia. A frame built almost exactly like Smith, Allen is a sure tackler that is a leader on Georgia's defense. This season, he leads the team in total tackles and is second in sacks. Expect Allen to keep up the pace and make more big plays for Georgia as the schedule continues to get tougher.

2. WR Zachariah Branch

Arguably the most talked about transfer on Georgia's new-look offense, wide receiver Zachariah Branch has been all that Georgia fans were hoping for and then some. Branch has provided an explosive edge to this Georgia offense that they desperately needed last season. He has gotten touches on screens and quick throws often, almost as an extension to the run game. His ability to create massive plays in little space is electric. Branch has come up in big moments and stepped up when he needs to. He currently leads the team in receptions and touchdowns and is second in receiving yards. By the time the season is over, don't be surprised if he is the outright leader in all major receiving categories for the Bulldogs.

1. QB Gunner Stockton

Quarterback Gunner Stockton does not have an arm like Carson Beck did last year. His style of play is not the same, and Georgia is just fine with that. Stockton has been all that the Bulldogs have needed him to be. Stockton has used his legs to create big plays and has rarely made poor decisions with the football. He has only thrown one interception so far this season and is the third leading rusher on the team.

In a tight game against Tennessee, Stockton came up clutch. He threw for over 300 yards and two touchdowns, including a game-tying touchdown on 4th down late in the game. He is the reason Georgia has been as successful as they have been up to this point. If he can get some better pass protection up front and take more risks downfield, he could end up being in Heisman conversation.
