Georgia football has a lot of weapons on offense. From Gunner Stockton’s ability to be effective through the air and on the ground to Zachariah Branch’s big play ability, the Bulldogs have plenty of options they can turn to on offense.
But there is a new weapon that emerged out of the shadows against Kentucky, and it was none other than wide receiver Dillon Bell.
Dillon Bell is Georgia’s new weapon
Before Saturday’s win against the Wildcats, Bell had only caught seven passes this season for 13 yards. He also ran the ball just three times for 36 yards as well. But Saturday Bell burst onto the scene both through the air and on the ground.
Bell may have only run the ball twice on Saturday, but both touches resulted in a touchdown. On top of that, he also recorded four receptions for 68 yards which included this heart-stopping one handed catch down the sideline.

Kirby Smart was asked about Bell’s game during his press conference, and it’s safe to say that he is extremely happy to see Bell take off on Saturday.
"Yeah, so excited for him, probably most proud of the catch he had over on our sideline," Smart shared via 247sports.com. "The two other plays were almost walk-ins that were well-blocked. It probably wasn't about what he did, it was more about what the other 10 people did. But Dillon has been very selfless since he's been here. He has not had many opportunities this year to touch the ball and make plays, and he has not complained one bit. He continues to work. I appreciate who Dillon Bell is, and I really appreciate all those wideouts, because it's a good group that has stayed the course, and they understand who they are."
Bell has versatility that Georgia will be able to take advantage of going forward. They can start him out wide before motioning him to the backfield or vice versa, always making sure to keep defenses on their toes. And it’s this versatility that could take Georgia’s offense to another level.
Bell should expect to see a lot of touches next week against Auburn, and if he’s used right the Tigers likely won’t have an answer for him.
