Georgia football has a chance to do something remarkable next season. The Bulldogs have an opportunity to win their third SEC Championship in a row which is something they have only done once back in the early 1980s.
The SEC revealed Georgia's schedule Thursday night, so the Bulldogs now know who stands in their way at accomplishing that goal. Making the SEC Championship game though is a very difficult thing to accomplish. Just this year Texas A&M and Ole Miss both failed to qualify even though they went 11-1, so Georgia may need some help just to make it back to Atlanta next season.
Alabama is one team that will be favored to make it to the SEC Championship game next year, so they are one team who could prevent UGA from making it to Atlanta. But the SEC gave the Crimson Tide one of the hardest schedules in the conference which includes an insane five game stretch. And if things go Georgia's way, this stretch could eliminate Alabama from SEC Championship contention.

Alabama's daunting schedule could help Georgia win another SEC title
Alabama's difficult stretch begins in week six when Georgia hits the road to take on the Crimson Tide. This game will have huge implications on who will make the SEC Championship game, but this is just the start of Alabama's very difficult stretch.
After this game the Crimson Tide play Tennessee, Texas A&M, LSU and Vanderbilt. And to make matters even worse, three of those games are on the road.
If Alabama can survive this stretch then they deserve a shot to play for an SEC Championship. But they more than likely will drop a few games during this stretch and eliminate themselves from the title race.
Hopefully it is Georgia that beats Alabama to keep them out of Atlanta, but even if they lose there is still a good chance UGA finishes with a better record than the Tide next season.
