Georgia football is in the middle of their annual Pro Day, and as one would assume there are countless NFL scouts, executives and head coaches in attendance. And it’s hard to blame them because Georgia is one of the programs who produces the most NFL talent year in and year out.
All of the attention on Wednesday’s Pro Day is on the Bulldogs participating, and rightfully so. This is their last chance to show NFL organizations who they are as players on and off the field before the NFL Draft this spring, so it’s obvious why they are the focus on this day. But at the same time, it’s hard to not think about how this Pro Day for Georgia is as good of a recruiting pitch for current and future recruits as Kirby Smart and UGA will ever have.
Pro Day is Georgia’s best recruiting pitch
Every high school recruit has dreams of making it to the NFL. Unfortuantely there is such a small percentage of those athletes who accomplish those dreams, so that’s why their recruiting process is so important because they need to pick the school they think gives them the best chance to make it to the NFL.
And Georgia has one of the best arguments for why recruits should come to Athens if that’s their goal. Not only does Georgia have many players currently dominating in the NFL, but the exposure to NFL organizations they will get at Georgia is second to none.
According to On3’s Rusty Mansell, there is at least one representative at Georgia’s Pro Day from all 32 NFL teams.
There are a few schools who are very good at producing NFL talent, but arguably none are better at that than Georgia. And the fact that every NFL team came to Georgia on Wednesday when they could’ve gone to so many other Pro Days around the country proves that Georgia is every recruits best chance at making the NFL.
