After another successful run to get into the College Football Playoff, the Georgia Bulldogs would have loved to see more games in the postseason, but lost in the second round after their first-round bye to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. While the Fighting Irish didn't win it all, they were the team on Georgia's side of the bracket to make it to the National Championship.

After what could be looked at by the standards of Georgia fans as a rough 2024 season, Kirby Smart worked hard to get what was needed in the transfer portal from Georgia, specifically building up the Georgia offense, which had needed a revamped intake in he last couple of seasons. With the return of Gunner Stockton, the quarterback who took over the last two games of the season, Smart may feel he has a handle on the offense and can lead to great things in 2025.

The loss of players to the draft and the transfer portal will always hurt, but it also happens every season, and Smart has learned to build his depth chart quickly, sometimes even after spring ball. The Bulldogs showed out well in their annual spring game and even answered a few questions on fans' minds. So, looking ahead to the 2025 season, here is the projected depth chart for the Georgia Bulldogs.

The Georgia offense is set to go through some changes this season, none bigger than the quarterback position. With the transfer of Carson Beck back in January, it was looking like it was Gunner Stockton's job to lose for the Bulldogs. Stockton started for Georgia in the SEC championship and against Notre Dame when Beck was injured. However, now it is looking like a GB battle between Stockton and Ryan Puglisi, but after spring practices, it seems Stockton is leading the way.

Other differences to take note of are the wide receiver room, with the transfer of Zachariah Branch in from USC. The branch should be able to come in and help elevate the wide receiver room. Nate Frazier will also be taking over the rushing duties with the departure of Trevor Etienne to the NFL.

2. RS FR Ellis Robinson IV

SS:
1. SR JaCorey Thomas
2. RS JR Zion Branch

FS:
1. SO KJ Bolden
2. SR Adrian Maddox

RCB:
1. SR Daylen Everette
2. RS FR Demello Jones

NB:
1. JR Joenel Aguero
2. RS SO Kyron Jones

The Georgia defense has always been the highlight of Kirby Smart's tenure with the Bulldogs, but in 2024, the defense certainly was not quite as strong as it has been in recent years. However, the defense this season shouldn't see too many changes other than the loss of Mykel Williams, Jalon Walker, and Malaki Starks to the NFL.

The defensive line will have to make some changes this season in order to stop the run more efficiently, and the defense as a whole just needs to turn up their pressure and aggressiveness heading into the 2025 season.
