Georgia's offense had their best performance of the season against Tennessee last Saturday. They were able to put up 44 points and over 500 total yards which included nearly 200 yards on the ground against a really good Tennessee team on the road.

A big reason for this impressive showing for Georgia's offense was the much improved play from their offensive line. That was one of the biggest disappointments during UGA's week two win against Austin Peay, but this group responded extremely well to the criticism they received.

But there is one offensive lineman who shined more than anyone else, and that was center Drew Bobo.

Drew Bobo no longer can hide in the shadows

Offensive linemen usually don't get too much attention unless they are elite NFL prospects. That is why Bobo likely wasn't well known outside of Athens, but that is going to change after the impressive performance he had against Tennessee.

In 47 pass blocking snaps against the Volunteers, he allowed zero pressures and received an 85 pass block grade from PFF.

This showing was also good enough for Bobo to win the week three Outland Trophy which goes to the nation's best interior offensive or defensive lineman.

Opposing teams are going to have to find ways to get around Bobo now because if they keep sending one guy at him they more than likely will never even come close to Gunner Stockton. So if defenses want to get any sort of interior pressure, they are going to have to take resources from other areas of their defense just to get past Bobo which will then present new opportunites for UGA to take advantage of.

Bobo will have a big decision to make this offseason as he could return to Georgia for another season or declare for the NFL Draft. Either way, Bobo has a bright future ahead of him thanks in large part to his coming out party against Tennessee.
