Georgia football has their eyes set on a few quarterbacks in the 2027 recruiting class. However, potentially their top target at QB in the 2027 class is Teddy Jarrard.
Jarrard is one of the top signal callers in the 2027 class and is from the state of Georgia, so he is a prime candidate to be Georgia’s next quarterback commit. Jarrard recently shared that he will already be announcing his commitment on July 24, so where do things stand with him now that a commitment date is known?

Teddy Jarrard is trending away from Georgia with his commitment date looming
According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Jarrard is the No. 195 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 15 QB in the 2027 class and the No. 28 player from the Peach State.
Jarrard has announced that he will be deciding between Georgia, Michigan, Penn State, Notre Dame and Ohio State on July 24 when he announces his commitment. Unfortunately it is looking like Notre Dame will be the team that wins Jarrard’s recruitment.
Pretty much every recruiting expert that has made a prediction in this recruitment has sided with the Irish. This includes 247Sports who has a prediction in Notre Dame’s favor as well as On3 who has the Irish as the overwhelming favorite.
While it would be easy to say that anything is possible in his recruitment even if Jarrard does pick Notre Dame on Thursday, the fact that he is committing this early in his recruiting process isn’t a good sign for Georgia. So the Bulldogs will likely have to look elsewhere for their quarterback commit in the 2027 class.
At this point it’s unclear who that player could be, so thankfully Georgia has Jared Curtis as the future of their program so it may not matter all that much who Georgia decides to target.
