Georgia football currently has the No. 12 recruiting class in the country, according to 247Sports. This isn't where any Georgia fan wants to be, but sitting at No 12 with only nine commits is actually pretty strong.

But there is obviously a lot of work to do as Kirby Smart and his staff need to continue bringing in more and more talent and adding to their recruiting class. Hopefully that is something that will happen this weekend as nine elite recruits will be taking their official visits to Georgia, but there is one other thing Georgia's staff will have to continue to do as well.

Even though UGA has nine commits in their class, there is always the chance one of them could change their mind and flip to a different school. That theoretically could happen to any of Georgia's commits, but wide receiver Vance Spafford is showing some signs that he could be rethinking his commitment.

4-star WR Vance Spafford has scheduled five official visits

Spafford is a four-star wide receiver who according to the 247Sports composite rankings is the No. 75 overall player in the country. This alone makes it obvious how important it is to keep him in Georgia's class, but recent news shows that this is going to be challenging to accomplish.

Spafford announced on Friday that he will be taking an official visit to Georgia on June 13, but he also shared he will officially visit Washington, UCLA, USC and Miami (FL) as well. It isn't abnormal for a committed player to take visits elsewhere, but it is something no Georgia fan wants to see happen.

Spafford is from California, so UGA fans will want to pay extra close attention to his visits to UCLA and USC. Playing for a local school is a big deal to a lot of recruits, so there is always a chance that sentiment rings true with Spafford.

Hopefully Georgia is able to hold on to Spafford's commitment, because pairing him with five-star quarterback Jared Curtis could be deadly in Athens for years to come.
