Georgia football is a few days removed from their SEC Championship victory over Alabama. The Bulldogs absolutely dominated the Crimson Tide on both sides of the ball, and this game was the perfect example of why Georgia can win the College Football Playoff this season.

Georgia's defense has been dominant for over a month now, and they flexed their muscles once again against Alabama. Their defense is good enough to carry them to a National Championship this season on their own, but thankfully they don't have to because Georgia's offense was just as good against the Crimson Tide as they had complete control of the game both on the ground and through the air.

And it was this balanced attack that should give Georgia fans the most hope entering the playoff.

Balanced attack paves the way for Georgia

Georgia’s offense was very balanced in their win against Alabama. Everyone could see that Mike Bobo really wanted to get the running game going early along with throwing a lot of RPO hitches and bubbles to get his athletes out in space. The rushing attack however was just as vital for the Bulldogs as well.

Georgia rushed for 143 rushing yards on 3.8 yards per carry led by sophomore running back Nate Frazier who had 13 carries for 52 rushing yards and one touchdown on four yards per carry. Georgia’s offensive line was moving this Alabama front the whole game, providing good enough holes for the running backs to run through.

Gunner Stockton also had the Georgia passing game humming as well as he completed 20 of 26 passes for 156 yards with three touchdowns.

The Bulldogs defense has proven they can carry Georgia throughout the playoff, but the offensive balance seen against Alabama could be the thing that leads Georgia to a national title this year.
