The college football world has been pure chaos this past week. Several big schools such as LSU, Auburn, and Florida have made the final decision on their new head coach. In all of this, the Georgia Bulldogs have been quiet.

Up to this point nobody has mentioned "new head coach" and "Georgia Bulldogs" in the same sentence, and Georgia fans should be thrilled at that news.

Kirby Smart's staff still in-tact after coach carousel chaos

Towards the beginning of the chaos when head coaches started to get fired, Georgia assistants were at the top of many experts' lists as candidates for the open positions. Glenn Schumann was the most talked about assistant at Georgia, leading a stout Bulldogs defense and still very young in his coaching career.

Despite all the rumors, nobody has poached a Georgia assistant yet. For that, Georgia fans should be beyond excited. Even though Georgia fans have not always been entirely happy with Schumann or Mike Bobo this season, retaining a coaching staff and a foundation to a program is crucial for success.

The moment a coordinator or assistant coach gets hired elsewhere, recruits are sure to follow. Kirby Smart has built a staff at Georgia to recruit and play at the highest level. For Georgia to go into the SEC Championship and playoffs with all the staff still in-tact is huge.

If fans look around college football, they can see how losing a coach during a season can affect a program. Ole Miss is the most talked about example of this, with Lane Kiffin leaving for LSU right before Ole Miss is lined up to play in the College Football Playoff. However, other programs are facing the same type of pressure. James Madison just lost their head coach right before playing for a Sun Belt Championship as well as North Texas right before their AAC Championship game.

Though these are all head coaches, having coordinators and assistants committed to the program and the hurdles ahead is huge for a team's overall morale. Georgia should be thankful that their guys that have led them to an impressive 11-1 record and an SEC Championship game appearance are still here and will likely be for the foreseeable future.
