Kirby Smart isn't going down without a fight over this young and talented wide receiver.

Just because the 2025 football season is just weeks away, that doesn't mean Kirby Smart has totally forgotten about recruiting at Georgia. While Smart's attention is probably more divided right now with fall camp going on, he is also still able to work hard in getting players interested in coming to play for the Bulldogs in the future.

Currently, Smart is actually working to flip a player already committed somewhere else. Tyren Wortham, a four-star wide receiver out of Sarasota, Florida, according to 247Sports, committed to the Michigan State Spartans back in late June, but as we all know, committed doesn't always mean he will be wearing a Spartans jersey in 2026.

Even though Wortham has chosen the Spartans right now, it has been reported by Rivals' John Garcia Jr. that both Georgia and the Auburn Tigers are still trying to flip Wortham's commitment.

Wortham comes in as the No. 239 player in the Class of 2026, the No. 40 wide receiver in the class, and the No. 34 player in the state of Florida. Georgia was in on the young wide receivers' original recruitment, and Wortham even took an official visit to Athens on June 6, but Michigan State was his final official visit on June 20, and he ultimately ended up going with the Spartans.

The only other two schools that Wortham took an official visit to were Kansas State and UCF, but it seems like he plans on leaving the Sunshine State. Another wide receiver would be great for Smart's Class of 2026, as he only has three committed so far out of 31 total commits.

Smart already has the No. 1 recruiting class for 2026 in the country, according to 247Sports, so adding Wortham would just strengthen his ranks even more and give his future quarterbacks even more power in the passing game.
