There are a lot of reasons why a recruitment could be fun to watch, but arguably the best recruitments to follow are for ones where it appears Georgia football is picking up steam with a recruit currently committed to another program. That gets amplified even more when the recruit is committed to an SEC program.
And that is exactly what is happening with three-star corner Peyton Dyer.
According to the 247Spots composite rankings, Dyer is the No. 424 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 32 corner in the 2026 recruiting class and the No. 45 overall player from his home state of Georgia.
Dyer has been committed to South Carolina since last November, but that commitment is in jeopardy for the Gamecocks as Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs are in full pursuit.
Peyton Dyer is committed to South Carolina, but schools aren't giving up on the Peach State CB. He has locked in OVs to Georgia and USC.

4-star CB Peyton Dyer
Chad Simmons with On3 reported on Thursday that Dyer is beginning to get a wandering eye and is looking at a few other programs. Not only is his eye wandering, but he has identified two other programs that he is interested in. Those two schools are Georgia and the USC Trojans.
Both programs have scheduled an official visit with Dyer for later this summer, so this shows that he is not sold on South Carolina and is open to flipping his commitment elsewhere. Dyer also made a recent visit to Athens as well, which demonstrates even more how interested he is in the Bulldogs.
It is always tough to flip a recruit committed to any program, especially a program like South Carolina who is on the rise after a very good 2024 campaign. But Georgia is one of the top dogs (pun intended) in the country, and the fact that Dyer is from Georgia should help Smart and his staff some in his recruitment as well.
So if there is any flip target to pay close attention to it is Dyer, because there is likely a good chance that he ends up changing his mind and joining Georgia's 2026 recruiting class at some point.
