Georgia football and Kirby Smart have recently begun putting more of an emphasis on recruiting in-state prospects in recent years. That trend is continuing with the 2026 recruiting class which is a great idea because there are so many great recruits from Georgia.

Many recruits from Georgia are regularly ranked at the top of recruiting site's rankings, but there are also some hidden gems that come out of Georgia each season as well. And Smart and his staff have their eyes on one of those players who is yet to get a lot of love from the recruiting sites.

3-star IOL Graham Houston

Offensive lineman Graham Houston is an interesting prospect because he is not currently ranked on 247Sports. That however doesn't mean he is a bad player, and that is seen with the schools he named in his top four.

Houston's top four consists of Georgia, Florida, Florida State and Ole Miss. Does anyone think any of these four schools would target a player who isn't good? So it's likely just a matter of time until 247Sports ranks him and the other recruiting sites give him a nice bump.

On'3 Industry Ranking names Houston as the No. 575 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 56 interior offensive lineman in the 2026 class and the No. 57 overall player from his home state of Georgia.

There have not been any predictions made in Houston's recruitment yet, but On3 does give the Bulldogs the best chance to win this recruitment at 38 percent. It does make sense that Georgia is the team to beat in this recruitment because they are the in-state school who have also had a lot of success with players from Buford in the past.

Time will tell if Georgia ends up winning this recruitment or not, but this is one UGA fans should feel decently confident in right now.
