The first injury report ahead of Georgia’s matchup against Mississippi State has been released. The Bulldogs have had their fair share of injuries this season, but this report only lists five Bulldogs heading into this weekend’s game.

That is the lowest number of players on the injury report so far this season which is cause for celebration on its own. But there are two Bulldogs who are thankfully not listed which makes this report that much better.

Who’s out and who’s questionable?

Three of the five Bulldogs listed on the injury report are already ruled out for Saturday’s contest. Linebacker Smael Mondon will be out once again after a foot injury prevented him from playing last week against Auburn. Right guard Tate Ratledge will also be out once again as he nurses an ankle and MCL sprain suffered against Kentucky.

Lastly, we have running back Roderick Robinson. Robinson has been out since the preseason but he, along with Ratledge, hope to be back sometime in Novemeber.

Two other Bulldogs are listed as questionable for Saturday’s game. Starting center Jared Wilson still finds himself on the injury report, but he does appear to be trending in the right direction. Wilson would have been able to play last week against Auburn if needed, but his services were never called upon. I wouldn't be that surprised to see him back this week, but it may not be a bad idea to be cautious especially against a team like Mississippi State.

Lastly, defensive tackle Jordan Hall is yet to play this season, but we could see his first action very soon. He's been practicing for a few weeks now, so this week’s game may not be a bad time to start working him into the rotation as well.

Two Bulldogs no longer on the injury report

We can't talk about this week’s injury report without mentioning that both Christen Miller and Mykel Williams are nowhere to be found. This is a positive thing because it tells us they are both 100 percent after suffering minor injuries.

Miller has started every game this year but suffered a knee injury during the Auburn game. He was unable to finish the game last week, but Kirby Smart was quick to say that it wasn't anything serious. His exclusion from the injury report proves that.

Williams on the other hand has missed two games this season. He did return and saw limited snaps against both Alabama and Auburn, but he is no longer on the injury report either. So the expectation is that he can fall back into a more normal role going forward.

It’s definitely a positive only having five players on the injury report at this point in the season. Many other teams have it far worse than Georgia, so let’s hope the injury bug stays away from Athens so Georgia can be as healthy as possible when they travel to Texas next week.
