One of Georgia football's biggest games of the season is right around the corner. The Bulldogs will travel to Knoxville to take on a Tennessee team who just so happens to be one of the hottest teams in the country.

Tennessee is off to an impressive start to their 2025 campaign after beating Syracuse 45-26 week one before destroying East Tennessee State on Saturday 72-17. Georgia on the other hand had an impressive week one victory as well, but their 28-6 win against Austin Peay on Saturday won't instill any confidence.

No one will be surprised to find out that Vegas adjusted the spread for Georgia's upcoming matchup with Tennessee after Saturday's results, but it is quite surprising that UGA is a bigger favorite than they were before this weekend.

Georgia vs Tennessee spread now favors UGA even more

Entering this weekend Georgia was a 6.5 point favorite against Tennessee. That however is no longer the case as the line moved a full point on Saturday in UGA's favor. That means the Bulldogs now are more than a touchdown favorite as Georgia is favored to win by 7.5 points.

It's hard to understand where this adjustment is coming from. Maybe Vegas saw Tennessee give up 17 points to East Tennessee State and believe Georgia's offense will do even better. Or maybe they saw how dominant Georgia's defense has been all season and they believe they will be able to slow down Tennesee's electric offense.

At the end of the day this spread really doesn't matter that much, because all that matter is Georgia coming away with a victory. The Bulldogs could win by one point next week and UGA fans will still be thrilled.

But this line movement from Vegas is very strange, but Georgia has beaten Tennessee eight times in a row by at least 14 points, so maybe they are on to something.
