It is extremely common for teams to try and steal recruits from Georgia. That is even the case with some of the lower ranked commits Georgia has as teams assume Kirby Smart and his staff identified something others did not.

So it really isn’t all that surprising that multiple teams are coming after Georgia wide receiver commit Aden Starling, which Rivals’ Sam Spiegelman explained on social media.

Georgia WR reminds everyone where he stands in his recruitment

Starling is a three-star wide receiver who committed to Georgia towards the end of 2025. He may only be the No. 828 player in the 2027 recruiting class, but that really shouldn’t matter. If Smart and his staff think he’s good enough to play at Georgia then fans shouldn’t be worried. And apparently Georgia isn’t the only team that think he is good enough to ply major college football.

The above update does not share which teams are pursuing Starling, but he has scheduled four official visits that will take place this summer. This likely includes Georgia, so there are at least three teams making a serious run at him.

Starling however shared the following which indicates that he is still 100 percent committed to Georgia.

“I am still really strong on Georgia,” Starling said via x.com. “It just gives me that feeling no other school has given me so far, where it just feels like this is where I belong … with real Dawgs.”

These official visits are scheduled for later this summer, so until then there is always a chance that something could change in his recruitment. So Georgia shouldn’t feel overly confident until after all these visits occur and he remains committed to UGA.

But as it stands today Georgia is in a great spot with Starling and should expect to keep him committed to their recruiting class.
