Georgia WR will look to make up for big mistake against Alabama earlier this season

A lot went wrong earlier this season when Georgia lost to Alabama in Athens. However, even if the Bulldogs didn't play as great as they could have, they still arguably should have won the game.

Georgia only lost to Alabama by three points after trailing by 10 points at the half. So all it would have taken is one more score for Georgia to have won this game, and the Bulldogs drew up a play early in the game that should have resulted in an easy touchdown.

Freshman wide receiver Talyn Taylor was wide open down the field and Gunner Stockton threw him a perfect pass. Unfortunately the ball hit his hands and dropped to the ground when he could have walked into the end zone had he caught the ball.

Taylor has been out with an injury for most of the season since the Alabama loss, but reports are indicating that he could be back this week in time for Georgia's rematch against the Crimson Tide. And it goes without saying that he will want to make up for his big mistake if he is given the chance.

So far this season Taylor has only recorded two receptions and 28 yards. That total could have been a lot higher had he caught this pass against Alabama, but that drop and his subsequent injury has prevented the former five-star from having the season he was hoping for.

But Taylor appears to have gotten healthy at the perfect time as he will likely be available to play against Alabama in the SEC Championship game.

It's unlikely that he will get a lot of snaps in this game since he has been sidelined for so long, but he should expect to play at least a little bit. And knowing how great of a player he is, he will have chance to make an impact even if he only plays a few snaps.

At the end of the day all Georgia wants to do is beat Alabama, and it doesn't really matter how they pull it off. But Georgia winning thanks to a big play from Taylor would probably be the best outcome possible so he can make up for the big drop he had earlier this season.
