Gunner Stockton has officially rewritten the dreadful preseason narrative about him

All offseason Gunner Stockton was told that he wasn’t good enough to lead Georgia. He was told that he was not capable of being able to take Georgia back to the SEC Championship game and make a deep run in the College Football Playoff.

But as it turns on, the national pundits couldn’t have been more wrong.

Stockton has been great all season for Georgia, but he took things to a new level this past weekend against Ole Miss. He had the best game of his career by far as he threw for four touchdowns and ran for one as well. Georgia needed to score a lot of points to the beat the Rebels who scored a touchdown on their first five possessions of the game, but UGA did even better by scoring every time they touched the ball for the entire game. And Stockton is the biggest reason why Georgia was so efficient.

Since Georgia’s comeback win over Ole Miss, the weekly awards have been rolling in for Stockton. In fact, he has won five awards in total so far this week which proves without a doubt that everyone who doubted Stockton this offseason was wrong.

Gunner Stockton’s potential is greater than anyone thought

Stockton and Georgia have five games left this season. They have had a good year so far, but if they fail to finish strong none of their success up to this point will matter.

But Stockton appears to have unlocked a new gear. He has shown that he is one of the best quarterbacks in the country and that he is more than capable of winning the Heisman Trophy. All that’s left for him to do is go out and continue proving all of his doubters wrong.

His next opportunity to do that is next weekend against Florida. The Gators are not a good team this year, but leading Georgia to victory with another dominant performance will take his reputation to yet another level.

The sky is the limit, so Georgia fans should sit back, relax and enjoy the ride that is the Stockton experience because what he is doing is nothing short of spectacular.
