Gunner Stockton has quickly turned into one of the best quarterbacks in Georgia football history. Not only has his play on the field been spcetacular, but he has evolved into the perfect Bulldog as well.

All of his teammates love playing for him and he is the perfect leader that every team dreams of having in their program. Not only is he a leader inside the football building, but he also is a leader in the community as he recently spent some time handing out Christmas gifts to the less fortunate.

Gunner Stockton knows that some things are bigger than sports

Stockton posted on social media a few days ago of him and a few of his teammates handing out presents to kids. Georgia has a lot of time off between beating Alabama in the SEC Championship game and playing Ole Miss in the playoff, so the Bulldogs had plenty of time to get out in the community this holiday season to help those out less fortunate than them.

Stockton posted five pictures to social media each featuring kids with some new gifts to help celebrate Christmas. He did not have to do this, but this is why Stockton is regarded as one of the nicest and most respected players in the locker room.

The greatest gift Stockton could give Georgia this season is a National Championship, but even he knows that some things are bigger than sports. There are countless people in the community who struggle each and every day just to get by, so Stockton using his platform to help them out is better than anything he can do on the football field.

Stockton and Georgia will face Ole Miss on Jan. 1 in the Sugar Bowl. That game presents a lot of challenges for Stockton and the rest of the team, but this extra time off spent helping the community might be exactly what Stockton needed to help clear his mind before Georgia's playoff run begins.
