Now that Georgia football has signed their 2025 recruiting class, it is time to get these players as ready as possible for the upcoming season next fall. And the best way to do that is by having as many of them as possible enroll early.
Enrolling early gives players a unique opportunity to start practicing with the team before the average player will be able to. The incoming freshman class won't be able to play in any College Football Playoff games nor will they even be able to travel with the team to these games, but they will be able to practice with them, sit it on team meetings, watch film and learn as much as they possibly can.
So how many of Kirby Smart's incoming freshman class are planning on enrolling early? 247Sports has the answer for us.
24 of 28 recruits are enrolling early
According to 247Sports, a whopping 24 of Georgia's 28 commits will be enrolling early at Georgia. This number also has a chance to grow as a couple players have not officially decided if they will enrolll early or not.
All of Georgia's highest ranked commits will be enrolling early, including five-star wide receiver Talyn Taylor, five-star defensive lineman Elijah Griffin, four-star QB Ryan Montgomery and five-star linebacker Zayden Walker.
It is also worth mentioning that a vast majority of these 24 players will be moved into campus on time to participate in Sugar Bowl practices as well. Those practices are set to begin shortly, so Georgia's next batch of players should be joining the team on campus very soon.
Enrolling early is something every program in the country does, but after seeing how many players are doing so at other programs, Georgia does have one of the highest percentages of players choosing to enroll early. This will put Georgia in the best position possible heading into next season, and will give each player enrolling early the best chance to contribute on the field next season as true freshmen.
