Super Bowl LIX is officially here as the Kansas City Chiefs look to beat the Philadelphia Eagles to win their third championship in a row. These two teams faced off in the Super Bowl two years ago which the Chiefs won 38-35, but the Eagles may just be capable of knocking off the Chiefs this time around.
Georgia football fans have a lot to cheer for in this game as they have six players combined between the two active rosters, which is the second most from any college in the country. So in the spirit of watching the biggest football game of the year and cheering on the former Bulldogs playing in the game, here is all the information you need to know to watch the Super Bowl.
Where?
Philly and Kansas City will play for the Super Bowl in New Orleans, LA which is coincidentally where Georgia's season came to an end last month.
When?
The Super Bowl is scheduled to begin at 6:30 pm EST on Feb. 9.
How to Watch
The Chiefs and Eagles will do battle on a wide range of networks for this game, but the main broadcast will be on FOX.
Final Odds
As of 12:30 pm EST on Sunday, Feb. 9, the Kansas City Chiefs are currently favored by 1.5 points over the Eagles. The over-under for the game is also set at 48.4 points. ESPN's Matchup Predictor however favors the Eagles as they give Philadelphia a 56.1 percent chance to win this game.
Final Prediction
The consensus among football fans is that they are ready to see the Kansas City Chiefs lose for once. Kansas City has won the previous two Super Bowls, so most people do not want to see them win for the third time in a row which would be a first in NFL history.
However, it is hard to pick against the Chiefs even if it seems like Philadelphia has the better team. The Chiefs just know how to win football games, and that culture is hard to beat even if the Eagles have the all around better team. But the one thing (person) that heavily favors Kansas City is Patrick Mahomes who will always be the best player on the field and capable of leading the Chiefs down the field at any point.
So even though it might be nice to see Philadelphia win, picking against the Chiefs may not be the smartest decision until someone proves they can actually beat them.
Prediction: Kansas City wins 24-21
