Everything was going right for Auburn Saturday night against Georgia, until it wasn't. The Tigers jumped on the Bulldogs the moment the game began and were dominating UGA in every facet of the game. Their offense was moving the ball at will and Auburn's defense kept Georgia's offense off the field for most of the first half.
But then the second half began and Auburn forgot how to play football. All it took was one viral turnover and Georgia took complete control of the game. Georgia went on to score 20 unanswered points and held Auburn to almost zero yards of offense as they proved without a doubt that they were the better team en route to their 20-10 victory.
Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze however was not interested in saying anything nice about Georgia. In fact, after the game he did not give Georgia any credit for their comeback victory.
“I think it’s very clear that we find ways to not win football games and that’s what has to change.”

Hugh Freeze is unwilling to sing Georgia's praises after historic comeback victory
Freeze is partially correct with the point he is attempting to make in the above quote. Auburn had many moments where they could have won this game, including Jackson Arnold's fumble on the goal line at the end of the first half. Auburn also had a few big drops throughout the second half that could have led to them adding more points on the scoreboard as well.
But at the same time Georgia did more than enough to win this game. The Bulldogs absorbed the countless blows Auburn dealt early in this game and they just kept getting back up. Georgia's offense also found a new gear during the second half behind a dominant offensive line performance. And how about Georgia's defense who only gave up 50 yards of offense after that Arnold fumble? Do they get any credit?
Freeze has every right to say that Auburn could have made a few more plays to win this game because it is the truth. But Auburn did not hand Georgia this game, the Bulldogs went and took it from them.
Freeze likely won't give Georgia any credit anytime soon for this win, but at the end of the day the Bulldogs were the winners so it doesn't matter what he has to say.
