Georgia football is still a few weeks out from beginning their journey in the College Football Playoff. At this point the Bulldogs still don't even know who their opponent in the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 1 will be, but that hasn't stopped them from ramping up the intensity throughout practice.

While Georgia continues their preparations for their upcoming CFP matchup, the Bulldogs are also using this time to get as healthy as possible. And out of all the Bulldogs who have been dealing with recent injuries, it is freshman wide receiver Talyn Taylor who has been turning the most heads.

Georgia's secret weapon could be making his return just in time

Taylor is a former five-star recruit who came to Georgia with immense expectations. Unfortunately he hasn't lived up to those expectations, but that isn't entirely his fault.

So far this season he has recorded just two receptions for 28 yards. However, those stats could have been much better if he didn't drop a wide open touchdown pass during the first matchup with Alabama this season. Soon after that game Taylor went down with a significant injury, and he hasn't seen the field since.

Taylor was healthy enough to play in the SEC Championship game, but he did not see the field. But with the extra month off before the CFP he could be ready to make his return just in time to help Georgia make a run at a National Championship.

It's unclear if Taylor will be given that shot, but if he does take the field then that is another weapon that Gunner Stockton will have at his disposal that he will be able to exploit. And if Taylor is able to return and play at the level that he is in practice right now, then Georgia could very well be the favorite to win it all.
