Is 5-star Isaiah Gibson trolling Michigan or considering ditching Georgia?

Georgia football is off and running on signing day and have already signed over half of their recruits who have verbally committed to Georgia, but there is one big name still out there who is yet to officially sign with Georgia.

Five-star EDGE Isaiah Gibson.

Gibson is one of the top players in the country, coming in as the No. 9 overall player in the country according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He also is the No. 1 EDGE in the country and No. 2 player from Georgia.

Gibson has been committed to Kirby Smart and Georgia since the end of June, but in today’s day and age of recruiting we all know that no recruitment is over until pen hits paper on signing day. So even though Gibson has always felt like a lock to Georgia, that could always change at any point.

And that change may have just happened this morning based on an Instagram post of Gibson’s that went viral among the Michigan and Georgia fanbases.

Is Gibson thinking about flipping to Michigan?

Gibson’s Instagram post from Wednesday morning shows him repping Michigan ahead of making his final decision. This has caused a lot of Georgia fans to panic as it was assumed that he was locked in with Georgia.

But it appears that he may just be trolling Michigan and having a little fun at their expense. While some Michigan fans were very excited seeing this, many others were quick to say that this appears to just be an act. A lot of Georgia fans are saying the same thing as well, that UGA may not have anything to worry about.

And that is exactly what ended up happening as Gibson has officially signed with Georgia and is the latest five-star player to join UGA’s elite 2025 class.
