How you practice is how you play. For the Georgia Bulldogs, practice is everything. Every practice is a game in the eyes of Kirby Smart and his coaching staff. It is something he learned from the best to ever do it in Nick Saban. So with Georgia getting ready to get ready for Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate on Friday, "Bloody Tuesday" has become "Bloody Monday". London Humphreys provided some insight.
Humphreys opined on what "Bloody Tuesday" practices are like and if they have gotten any easier.
"The first time, it's everything you hear about. It's physical. It's just another game. Every practice we say is a game, but the practices have not gotten easier, by any means. I think I just know how to handle it and prepare myself throughout the day. It's no slight task having a Bloody Tuesday or, I guess this week, a Bloody Monday."
Keep in mind this is Humphreys' third college season, his second since transferring from Vanderbilt.

As a follow-up, Humphreys perfectly explained the importance of these practices: Preparation.
"Oh, I think that's what I learned the most about these practices is you can't really just show up and practice. You have to prepare yourself like a game. And I think that is one of the points of having a practice like that."
Two years into his Georgia tenure, and you can tell by Humphreys' improvement these practices work.
London Humphreys explains the point of Georgia's "Bloody Tuesdays"
The big key here in Humphreys' lessons learned from taking part in "Bloody Tuesdays" for the better part of two seasons now is Georgia is clearly a professional program competing at the amateur level. Yes, those lines do get blurred a bit when it comes to pro and college football, especially in the wonderful world of NIL. That being said, "Bloody Tuesdays" are where Georgia develops winning time.
Let's look at a player like Humphreys for example. He was a sought-after recruit in the transfer portal coming over from Vanderbilt. He could absolutely fly down the field. While his first season with the Dawgs had its ups and downs, Humphreys would regularly drop the ball in crucial spots. Well, that is no longer the case this year. He has been way more locked in, delivering one big catch after another.
See, in these "Bloody Tuesdays", Humphreys and the rest of his teammates develop an even greater level of mental toughness. This is how you end up making the game-changing catch vs. Tennessee on a fourth-and-goal, or coming up with the touchdown to start to break Texas' will to compete. Clearly, "Bloody Tuesdays" have served Humphreys over the last two years. It is why Smart has them.
For now, Georgia has the talent and the mental toughness to win its third national title in five seasons.
