Gunner Stockton has turned into a superstar right before the eyes of all Georgia fans. No one knew how good Stockton was going to be this season exactly, but he has outperformed any expectations set before him at the start of the year.
Instead of questioning if Stockton is going to be good enough for Georgia, everyone is continuously singing his praises now as one of the best quarterbacks in the country. And it was none other than former UGA quarterback Jake Fromm who said exactly what everyone should be thinking about Stockton after his rise to stardom.
“Watch out for Gunner Stockton,” Fromm said via dawgnation.com. “He’s playing some really good football right now, and he can take this team wherever it wants to go.”

Stockton has Georgia's offense firing on all cylinders, and their most recent win over Mississippi State is the perfect example. After giving up an early touchdown to Mississippi State, Stockton helped Georgia dominate the rest of the game as they scored 38 unanswered points.
Stockton has had better games than how he played against Mississippi State on Saturday, but if his "off" days still consist of him throwing for 264 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions then that is pretty good.
Fromm knows what it takes to succeed at the highest level. He led Georgia to an SEC Championship and National Championship game appearance as a freshman, so when he says someone is good enough to take a team wherever they want to go then that player can do just that. And that is exactly what Fromm said about Stockton.
Now all Stockton needs to do is go out and prove that he can lead Georgia to a National Championship. That may be a tall ask, but Fromm believes that he is more than capable of doing it.
