James Cook shows off jaw-dropping athleticism in dominant Week 2 performance

James Cook proved why he is one of the best running backs in the league on Sunday.

Former Georgia football superstar James Cook has quickly become one of the best running backs in the NFL. Cook was voted as one of the top backs in the league this offseason, and so far he has lived up to that hype through two games.

Cook had a solid game week one for the Buffalo Bills, but he wasn’t utilized as often as he typically is in the run game since Buffalo was playing catch-up most of the game. Sunday however Cook was able to featured like the lead running back he is, and he was the biggest reason why the Bills dominated the New York Jets.

Cook finished with 132 yards on 21 carries while also adding two touchdowns as well. He did unfortunately have a fumble on Sunday, but he more than made up for that throughout the rest of the game.

James Cook is the key to get Buffalo over the hump

Not only did Cook have amazing stats on Sunday, but he was able to do so while making jaw-dropping highlights along the way. His best play of the day by far came on the below 44-yard touchdown run where he juked multiple defenders on his way to the end zone. Runs don’t get much more impressive than this.

The Bills have been one of the best teams in the NFL for a few years now, but they have been unable to get over the hump in large part because of the Kansas City Chiefs dominance. The Chiefs however have started 0-2 this season, so there is a chance they won’t be a factor this year.

That opens the door for the Bills to finally make a run to the Super Bowl, and Cook will be one of the biggest reasons why they make it there if they do.
