The countdown is on in the recruitment of five-star quarterback Jared Curtis, who is the top ranked QB in the 2026 recruiting class.
Georgia and Oregon have been Curtis's two finalists for quite some time now, but at this point no one knows which way Curtis is leaning. So these final few days before Curtis commits, which is currently scheduled for May 5, may be the most important of the offseason for Kirby Smart and Georgia.
Most thought this recruitment was over when it came to Curtis taking more visits, and while that is technically true there are a couple more visits that were just scheduled with Curtis.

Georgia and Oregon schedule more visits with Jared Curtis
According to multiple reports, both Georgia and Oregon have scheduled in-home visits with Curtis between now and his May 5 commitment date. It sounds like Oregon will only be visiting Curtis once while Georgia will visit Curtis twice before he commits on May 5.
It may not seem like that big of a deal that Georgia will visit Curtis twice compared to Oregon doing it just once, but when a recruitment is this close every little detail matters.
But there's something greater happening here that Curtis needs to pay attention to. One of the biggest selling points for Georgia is how much closer they are to Curtis's family in Tennessee than Oregon is. So it's likely that this proximity is why Georgia is visiting Curtis twice and Oregon only is once.
Who knows how big of a deal proximity is to Curtis, but many have speculated that it is a driving factor in his recruitment. And if that is the case, then there is a great chance that Curtis will silently commit to UGA's staff on one of these visits before making his commitment official on May 5.
