Training camps across the NFL are a sign of hope and joy for fanbases and media alike. Football fans finally get to see rookie draft picks and new free agent signings and how they fit on their favorite teams.

This offseason has been epic for the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, especially former Georgia football defensive tackle Jordan Davis.

Davis was a key player on the Eagles championship defense playing alongside fellow former Bulldogs Nolan Smith, Jalen Carter, Kelee Ringo and Nakobe Dean. Davis's impact can be felt at any point throughout the game because he has the ability to dominate any snap. He has however had an up and down career so far because of the shape he’s been in, but a recent body transformation could be changing that this year.

Weight loss from the Super Bowl Champ could take his game to the next level

Davis recently revealed he lost 26 pounds this offseason in preparation for his fourth NFL season. The Eagles expect him to play a bigger role now with the loss of Milton Williams in free agency, so this weight loss will help Davis fill a bigger role.

This weight loss can be very beneficial for Davis's play on the field as it will allow him to be quicker at the snap of the ball. On top of that, he naturally will be able to play more snaps each game because his conditioning will be a lot better.

The elite nose guards and defensive tackles in the league can play each down and not require as many breaks throughout the game. This is the next step for Davis as he hopefully will make a bigger impact on the game on passing downs while playing more overall now. Davis's physical presence at 6'6 combined with his improved endurance will also create more chaos then ever before which will cause his stats to sky rocket this season.

This jump in endurance likely will continue the Eagles defensive line dominance and quickly propel Davis to becoming one of the premier defensive tackles in the league.
