Recruitments are really beginning to take shape, meaning that recruits from all over the country are beginning to narrow down who their top schools are and who they will be focusing on for the remainder of their recruitments. That is the case with many of Georgia football's top targets as the Bulldogs seemingly have been getting good news from at least one recruit every day recently.

That included Saturday when one of the best running backs in the country moved Kirby Smart and Georgia up his list.

4-star RB Javian Osborne

Javian Osborne is a four-star running back from Forney, TX. According to the 247Sports compostie rankings, Osborne is the No. 60 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 9 overall player from Texas and the No. 4 running back in the 2026 recruiting class as well.

Towards the beginning of January, Osborne announced his top 10 schools which did include Georgia. But Saturday marked another update in his recruitment as he essentially announced his top five by announcing five schools he will take an official visit too.

This included Georgia, who he will be officially visiting relatively soon on April 11. Osborne will also be visiting SMU, MIami (FL), Alabama and Michigan as well.

There is a glaring omission from this list as last January many recruiting experts thought Texas was the team to beat in this recruitment. In fact, 247Sports still has the Longhorns as one of two teams "warm" in his recruitment. Maybe Texas will get the final open official visit spot on June 13 where the above post currently says "TBA," but leaving the Longhorns out is certainly strange.

Michigan also appears to be a team trending as they have one crystal ball prediction on 247Sports in their favor. So it appears Georgia still has some work to do to catch up in this recruitment, but Smart and his staff will get their chance to do that later in April.
