In case you missed it, a viral video spread like wildfire on Monday that showed defensive back Jake Pope celebrating with Ole Miss fans after the Rebels defeated Georgia 28-10.

Yes, you read that correctly, a Georgia player was celebrating with Ole Miss fans as they rushed the field after pulling off the big upset over Georiga. Moments really don't get as low or as embarrassing as that, regardless of what the reason was for doing this.

Kirby Smart was asked about this video during his Monday press conference, and he did not hold back on how he feels about Pope.

"What an idiot. Just stupid. He's embarassed about it. He knew the family it was a high school teammate's family. But just stupid. But to be honest with you, I don't have time to worry about that stuff."

As mentioned, there really isn't one good reason why Pope should have been celebrating like this with Ole Miss fans. This includes celebrating with a former teammate's family, which is who he was jumping up and down with.

There's nothing wrong with Pope being a little happy for his former teammate, but he needs to keep that to himself. Under no circumstances is it ever okay to show it like this.

This really puts into question if Pope even belongs on this team. How can his Georgia teammates trust or respect him enough to want to play alongside him? How can the coaching staff have enough faith in him to put in the game now?

It's really hard to imagine a scenario where Pope is able to make up for this incident, and whatever punishment comes from this is deserved. Whether he is benched for the rest of the season, suspended or even removed from the team, there likely will be no complaints coming from anyone in the Georgia football fanbase.

And if Georgia's loss to Ole Miss didn't leave a sour taste in our mouths already, this video of Pope made it ten times worse.
