Kirby Smart has been the Georgia football head coach for quite some time now, and many of those seasons have been very successful. But which season was his best?
That is a very difficult question to answer since there have been so many amazing seasons under Smart, but there are definitely a few that immediately come to mind. But what does Smart think? Which season was it where he thinks he and his staff were at their best?
His answer might surprise some Georgia fans when he spoke with 247Sports' Josh Pate.
"Best coaching job we've done by far. 100 percent. We were not as good as some of the years previous and we had twice the schedule from some of the years previous."

Was the 2024 season actually Smart's best coaching job?
Debating whether or not the 2024 season was Smart's best coaching job of his career is very difficult. The main reason being that he has had two seasons where he won a National Championship, so anything short of that feels like a little bit of a disappointment.
But when you consider everything that happened during the 2024 season, Smart might be right that it was his best coaching job of his career.
For starters, the Bulldogs schedule was as difficult as ever before. Road games at Texas, Alabama and Ole Miss along with another game against Tennessee gave Georgia the hardest schedule in the country. Georgia also had less depth then they are used to having and they suffered a laundry list of injuries on top of that as well.
And even though all three of those things created a difficult situation for Smart and Georgia last year, UGA still went 10-2 in the regular season and won an SEC Championship. Sure Georgia came up short in the College Football Playoff, but everything accomplished before that is extremely impressive.
It is definitely up for debate regarding which season was Smart's best, but this past season is definitely in the conversation and was a reminder of how talented of a head coach Smart is.
