Recruiting is always the most important part of every offseason, but there are certain times when that gets amplified even more. June however is the one month a year where recruiting is the only thing coaches focus on as that is the time a vast majority of recruits take their official visits.

Throughout the month of June Kirby Smart always welcomes Georgia's top targets to Athens. That will be no different this year, but he and Georgia just made a big change in their schedule for this summer's official visit season.

Georgia found a new way to stand out to recruits

Over the past few days recruits have been taking to social media to announce their official visit dates to Georgia. Many of those recruits will be in town over one weekend in June, but UGA has decided to start their official visits earlier this year than any other program in the country.

Typically Georgia will begin their official visit weekends the first weekend of June. Sometimes based on how the calendar falls that can occur on the final weekend of May as well. Georgia however is doing something completely different this year as they will reportedly be hosting recruits on official visits over the weekend of May 15.

The first known recruit to plan a visit on this day is wide receiver Amare Patterson. He is someone that has quickly risen up Georgia's priority list, so getting him back on campus this early in the summer will be huge.

It will be interesting to see who else joins Patterson on this early summer visit. Most schools across the country will not be hosting recruits this weekend, so this will be a way for Georgia to separate themselves and potentially get even more recruits to Athens on a visit.
