Kirby Smart is a fanbases's top candidate for new head coach opening

Kirby Smart is not going anywhere anytime soon. He has his dream job at Georgia as it is not only the place where he played college football but it is where the best program in the country currently resides. So him packing his bags and taking a new job elsewhere is not even in the realm of possibilities.

But that hasn't stopped some fanbases from thinking he is a realisitc option for them while searching for a new head coach.

Michigan football is the latest school to fire their head coach as Sherrone Moore was unexpectedly let go Wednesday night. Michigan is one of the top jobs in all of college football, so they will be an attractive place that a lot of head coaches will be interested in. However, Michigan fans somehow think Smart is an option for them.

Michigan fans think Kirby Smart is a realistic option to become their new head coach

Every football coach has their dream job. Whether it is one of the top programs in the country like an Alabama or Ohio State or their alma mater, every coach has that one job they want and would never leave. That job for Smart is at Georgia.

It's hard to imagine a scenario where Smart would ever leave Georgia. Maybe at some point he might want to take a chance on the NFL, but there is not a job in college that would make him want to leave Georgia.

That however is not stopping Michigan fans from listing him at the top of their lists for who they want to become their next head coach. While it is a nice compliment for them to want him, they would be better off spending their time discussing realistic options because Smart would never leave for Michigan even if they quadrupled his salary.
