Gunner Stockton just had the game of his life the last time he took the field. He and the Georgia offense put on a show against Ole Miss that resulted in him throwing four touchdowns and running for one more.
This stellar performance cemented Stockton's place in the race for the Heisman Trophy, but that is the last thing on anyone's mind in Athens. Both Stockton and Kirby Smart know that there is another gear that he needs to find if Georgia is going to accomplish their goals this season, so how is he going to get there?
Earlier this week Smart shared the three things that he wants to see Stockton to improve on the most going forward.
"I want to see him continue to grow, take what the defense gives him, understand what we're trying to do," Smart said via 247sports.com. "We give Gunner a lot of latitude and options, in terms of the play-call. It's more about putting us in the right play to be successful based on what they're in defensively."

Smart didn't share anything crazy when asked what Stockton needs to improve on the most. He has all the tools to be a great quarterback and that has been on full display recently, so Stockton needs to focus on the little things to help take his game to the next level.
Smart said that he needs focus on his continued growth, taking what the defense gives him and understanding the goal of what they are trying to do on each play. If Stockton improves on those things he believes he will become an even better quarterback.
The next chance for Stockton to show some improvement is this Saturday against Florida. The Gators would love nothing more than to play spoiler to Georgia's season, but with the way Stockton has been playing that is going to be difficult to do.
