One thing that has been plaguing Georgia football for awhile now is injuries. Sure that is the case with every program to a certain extent because football is a very physical sport, but the Bulldogs have seemed to be hit by the injury bug harder than others.

So far this spring, the Bulldogs have suffered one new injury when freshman wide receiver Tyler Williams went down with an ankle injury that will require surgery.

However, not all of the recent injury news for Georgia has been bad as Kirby Smart updated the status of defensive lineman Jordan Hall, who has suffered more than any other Bulldog over the last two years with injuries.

"Jordan (Hall) is, I don't know if I'd say completely back," Smart shared via 247sports.com. "I feel like he's completely back. He might not feel like that. He would say he's still banged up and bruised up, and getting used to the gauntlet of practice. The good thing about spring, he gets a day off in between to recover. But he's looked much better and much more healthy. He had his pins taken out, screws taken out, so he's practiced much better so far this spring than he did at the finish of last year, and we need him to be an integral part of leadership on this team."

Jordan Hall will have massive impact when healthy

Hall came to Athens as a five-star prospect and the No. 12 overall player in the country, so the hype surrounding Hall was extremely high. However, he has not had a chance yet to show who he is on the field because of injuries he has suffered.

Last offseason, Hall suffered fractures to both of his legs that ended his season before it even began. He did appear in two games in 2024 against UMass and Georgia Tech, but he was very limited in those games and only recorded four total tackles.

However, it appears that Hall is very close to being 100 percent healthy again based on the above statement from Smart. He may only be a limited participant throughout spring ball, but Hall will still have the summer and fall camp to get after it and get ready for the season ahead. And if he is able to stay healthy, Hall could very well become one of the top defenders on a stacked Georgia defense next season.
