Georgia football's SEC finale is finally here as the Bulldogs are ready to take on No. 10 Texas Saturday night. This matchup is the biggest of the season for Georgia as a win will help them remain at the top of the College Football Playoff rankings. On top of that, a loss would eliminate them from SEC Championship as well, so the Bulldogs have to emerge victorious Saturday night if they want to repeat as conference champions.
Kirby Smart was interviewed by Paul Finebaum earlier this week, and he shared the message that he gave his team in the days leading up to this matchup. And in this message it's clear that Smart doesn't want his team to ruin their hard word they have put in all week to prepare for Texas.

Kirby Smart's message to Georgia ahead of matchup with Texas
Smart's message was very clear to his team heading into their matchup with Texas. He is pleading with his team to rest up as much as they possibly can heading into this game because it more than likely is going to be a four quarter battle.
The last thing Smart wants is for his players to get beat by Texas before the game even begins. And the way that can happen is by the team not taking care of their bodies, wasting energy leading up to the game and allowing outside noise to distract them. Smart knows that if these things get in their way that Texas can come into Sanford Stadium and leave with a win, and that is the last thing anyone wants.
Kickoff between Georgia and Texas is scheduled for 7:30 pm on Saturday night. This means Smart's players will have a lot of time to sit around before their real preparations for this game begin, but in reality Georgia has been preparing all week for Texas and Smart does not want to let any foolish decisions get in their way.
