Georgia football set a few huge records during their win against Auburn on Saturday night. The first record is thanks to Georgia's nine game win streak over the Tigers which ties the longest win streak in this rivalry's history.
But the second record set with this win is far better as it speaks to how dominant Kirby Smart has been in his 10 years as Georgia's head coach. Smart now holds a 110-20 record so far in his tenure, and those 110 wins are the most by a head coach in their first 10 seasons in the modern era of college football.

Kirby Smart set a new record that will never be broken
Think of all of the great college football coaches in recent years. There are countless coaches who have cemented themselves as some of the greatest of all time, but none of them could accomplish what Smart just did. None of them were able to win 110 games in their first decade of coaching, and for that reason alone Smart deserves to be celebrated.
To add some perspective to how impressive this is, Smart is averaging 11 wins per season so far in his tenure at Georgia. And that doesn't even factor in the second half of this season that is yet to be played. So Smart will only add to this total by the end of the season, which will make this record even more untouchable.
There is one head coach to montior though who could eventually catch Smart. Ohio State head coach Ryan Day is in his seventh season with the Buckeyes right now, and he currently boasts a 76-10 overall record. So he has a chance to surpass Smart's record in three years, but he still has a lot of work to do.
Regardless of how that plays out, this is a huge accomplishment for Smart. This proves without a doubt that he is the No. 1 head coach in the country right now who also has a chance to go down as the greatest coach of all time.
