Kirby Smart shares emotional moment with his family after Tennessee win

Georgia football just defeated Tennessee 31-17, and it's safe to say this was Georgia's biggest win so far this season. If Georgia had lost this game, they likely would not have made the College Football Playoff, even in the expanded 12-team field. But now, after beating Tennessee by two touchdows, Georgia no longer has to worry about being left out.

That sense of relief came across all Georgia fans after UGA stopped Tennessee on their last possession. Georgia fans went crazy in Sanford Stadium once they knew this game was officially over, and the excitement and emotions from winning this big game took over everyone.

And that includes Kirby Smart, who shared a beautiful moment with his family on the field right after the game.

After emphatically hugging one of his players in the above video, you can see Smart light up even more when he stumbles across his family. Smart immediately embraced them all and posed for a picture, and it was so obvious to tell how excited he was.

Georgia has won a lot of championships and big games since Smart has been the head coach, and those wins certainly made Smart happier than this one against Tennessee. But there is something special about this win that is making Smart act this happy and emotional with his family.

There was a lot of doubt heading into this game about if Georgia would still be able to make the 12-team playoffs this year or not. And after the run UGA went on the last three seasons that included back-to-back national championships, missing out on the CFP would have been a disaster.

A loss against Tennessee would have seen that nightmare come to life. But Georgia didn't lose this game. In fact, they convincingly won this game against the Vols and left no doubt that they are the better team.
