Kirby Smart shares hilarious tactic he uses at local Georgia restaurants

Kirby Smart is arguably one of the most known head coaches in all of college football. But when it comes to the state of Georgia, there may not be any one person who is more recognizable than him.

Smart recently appeared on an SEC Network show where he was discussing Georgia's upcoming season. But instead of only talking about the 2025 season, the hosts asked Smart a personal question that caused Smart to give a hilarious response about how he has to live his everyday life.

In the above video, Smart was asked about what he does when he goes through a dirve-thru and how he handles that situation being such a well known person all throughout Georgia. Smart immediately shared that the worst part about this is when the resturants ask for his name. One can assume that there aren't too many people named Kirby out there, so if he uses that name, especially in the Athens area, people will recognize it.

Smart's way around this is by giving a fake name, usually a family members to keep the workers off his scent. When he is by himself though it's funny to imagine Smart going through a drive thru and saying any random name in hopes that people won't recognize him.

Doing that though won't stop the workers from recognizing him when he gets to the window, so there isn't any way around that interaction when he collects his order. But Smart did detail that there are times when the workers don't even recognize him when he gets to the window, and it sounds like that is what Smart hopes happens whenever he is at a restaurant.

So be on the lookout if you are someone that works at a restaurant, because Smart could be rolling through in his car trying to deceive you and not let you know who he is.
